This event is for anyone who’d like to serve the church and be served breakfast. Breakfast will begin at 7:30am followed by a short devotion. Afterward, we’ll dive right into sprucing up our campus. Activities will include raking of leaves/sticks, spreading mulch, cleaning rain gutters, washing windows, changing light bulbs, and cleaning the interior of the Worship Center. At this training, we will start first with affirming that, although we all certainly have room to grow, "You Are What Your Child Needs.” At his/her very core, your child needs and desires a relationship with you - although sometimes they donʼt know it yet! On that foundation, the path to effective discipline becomes clearer. Come join us as we talk about irksome and troublesome behaviors like lying and stealing, the messages we want to send our kids, and tools to help our kids grow in maturity and become all they were meant to be. We have a responsibility as parents to both guard and celebrate our children’s stories. We are also the best ones to train them to be their own story keepers, teaching them to use wisdom in handling hard questions from both children and adults and giving them tools that both protect and respect themselves and others. In this presentation, parents will be encouraged in their story keeping and trained in a few practical ways to empower their children in the same. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
