The goal of VBS is simple and powerful:
We want every child to discover that church is fun, build real connections, and begin growing a relationship with Jesus.

To make that happen, we need a full team of volunteers—whether you prefer behind-the-scenes help or jumping right into the action!

VBS Volunteer Schedule

Sunday, July 13: Set-Up | 12:30–2:30 p.m.
Monday, July 14 – Thursday, July 17: VBS | 5:00–8:30 p.m.

Volunteer Roles & Descriptions

Sunday Set-Up Team
Help prepare our spaces for the week ahead—setting up decorations, stations, and supplies.

Check-In & Check-Out Team
You’re the first connection families have when they walk through the door! Bring the hype and excitement.
You’ll assist with check-in and check-out, and help register families who walk in who didn’t have a chance to sign up beforehand.

Child Care Helpers
Care for the children of our VBS volunteers (ages birth–preschool) while their parents serve at the event.

Elementary Crafts
Lead kids through daily craft projects that connect to what they’re learning. You’ll prep supplies and help guide the fun.

Elementary Snacks
Prep and serve snacks, manage allergy-friendly options, and help kids take a quick break to refuel.

Games Team
Lead fun and active games during rotation time—encouraging participation, cheering kids on, and keeping things safe and silly.

Worship/Hype Team
Help lead large group energy by guiding worship songs, transitions, and keeping the room engaged and excited.

Safety Team
Monitor hallways, doors, and group flow to ensure everyone is in the right place and everything is running safely and smoothly.

VBS Operations Team
Support wherever needed—helping with transitions, filling in last-minute needs, keeping rotations on track, and solving small problems before they become big ones.

Small Group Coaches
You’ll lead a group of kids throughout the week—paired with another coach—and help guide them through each part of the night.
This role is all about having fun, participating actively, and being present with your group. Don’t be afraid to get a little goofy—VBS is the perfect time for it!
If you’re new to this, we’ll provide training and support throughout the process.

Small Group Volunteers (Middle & High School Students)
This role is perfect for students who want to get involved! You’ll assist in small group time—helping with activities, encouraging kids, and making a big impact through connection.

Training Coming Soon!
We’ll be holding a volunteer training session before VBS to make sure you’re confident, equipped, and ready to help create an amazing week for our kids.
